I´ve been so fortunate to work with some of the best property owners on the Outer Banks!  Over the years we´ve become friends and so many will stop by just to say "Hi" when they are in town or give me a call to come by to see new furniture, new paint or other changes they have made to their cottage.  The biggest compliment is when they have their friends call me to buy or sell Outer Banks property.

As a visitor to the Outer Banks for over 30 years, I decided that this is the area that I wanted to retire to in the very near future.  I contacted Vanessa Watson last fall about purchasing property in the Nags Head area.  Vanessa emailed me many listings over the winter.  In April, I visited the area with the intention of visiting several listings that we agreed upon.  However, on the way down, I happened to find a soundfront lot that I liked.  Considering Vanessa had invested a lot of time and trouble to identify many listings for me, I called her to represent me on this sale.  Early Saturday morning, we met at the lot and made arrangements to have the listing agent show us the property lines.  We made an offer and after a day-long ordeal, we walked away with a signed contract.    Over the next six weeks, the listing agent and owners make some very unreasonable requests of Vanessa.  However, no matter how unreasonable, Vanessa was always professional and quickly responded to the listing agent with my interest in mind.  Vanessa spent many hours on the phone with me advising the daily status and current request from the sellers.  Vanessa went beyond the call of duty in this very unusual circumstance to ensure all areas were covered and that everything possible was completed to ensure a smooth and fast closing.  Vanessa even spent the day with me as we visited the County Offices regarding permits and building restrictions.  This enlightened us both and resolved the many questions I had.    Please extend my personal thanks to Vanessa for her commitment to her profession and assistance she rendered to me and my wife.  She is without a doubt an invaluable member of your organization and should stand as the Poster Professional for the Real Estate Profession.  Again, thank you for your assistance and if I ever have the need for a real estate agent, you can rest assured that my business will go with Vanessa Watson                                                               Sincerely,                                                               Jack and Susan
